Eliot Kohek - 3D Dark Themed Tattoo Artist.

Eliot Kohek

Welcome again my putrid pals. I am thrilled to serve up my next chilling guest, A morbid mastermind in his craft. And now without further ado, introduce yourself and tell us where you’re from?

I am French , born in France in 1988

Your art is terroriffic! How long have you been a tattoo artist?

I started tattooing in 2008

How did you get started as a tattooist?

I have always been attracted to drawing and art in general. I unfortunately didn’t have the opportunity to go to art school. After my studies at 20, I bought all the necessary supply and I started tattooing my friends with very simple motives.

Where do you work out of? Do you have your own tattoo parlor or studio?

I have my own private tattoo shop in Annecy in France, and we also just opened another one collective shop with my ex apprentice Hugo Feist and his wife Ivanka Collado.

What inspires you and your creations?

I have developed my style over the years by spending a lot of time observing paintings, drawings, tattoos and art in general.

What’s your specialty?

Strictly Dark Realism, Large scale tattoos.

Have you ever entered competitons?

Yes, I have participated in many contests at tattoo conventions, I have about 40 prizes from the beginning I believe :).

What’s your favorite horror character?

I think immediately to a Hannibal Lecter, very fascinating. He is very brilliant. He exudes a certain kind of empathy while he does things very horrible because he lives in his own reality.

What’s your favorite horror movie?

A Serbian Film is probably the most twisted movie I've ever seen.

What is your definition of horror?

Anything that causes a feeling of fear, repulsion and anxiety.

What is your biggest fear?

It would make me vulnerable to tell you 3:)

If someone wanted to have a tattoo done from you or would like to see more of your work, where would they go?
